Adult Baptism

Adults, teens, children above the age of seven

Immaculate Conception, St. John the Evangelist and St. Rita parishes are pleased to welcome new members to our faith communities. Individuals over the age of seven are generally prepared for the sacrament of baptism through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) or Rite of Christian Initiation of Children (RCIC) process with baptisms occurring at the Easter Vigil.

To discuss this possibility or to learn more about an adult baptism, please contact Mary Sampey, parish director of faith formation, at 724-628-6840. She will be happy to meet with you or answer any questions.

The RCIA and RCIC process involves a series of classes and rituals all leading up to the baptism. In inquiring about the process you are not making a commitment, and its important to remember you are free to leave the process at any time. RCIA and RCIC sessions usually begin in the fall. Be sure to check this site and parish bulletin for further information.
